Accessibility statement

Our commitment

CamCreatives is a community for creative people, and creative people come in all shapes, senses and ways of working. We want everyone to be able to use this website, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Text and interface colours meet AA contrast ratios.
  • You can use the whole site with a keyboard, and your focus is always visible.
  • Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can make sense of them.
  • You can zoom text up to 200% (and reflow to 400%) without losing content.
  • Motion is minimal, and we respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
  • Images carry text alternatives where they convey meaning.
  • Our forms have visible labels and clear error messages, and sections that appear as you answer are announced to screen readers.

Known issues

We test as we build, but we haven’t found everything. Let us know if you spot something by emailing steve@camcreatives.com.

Tell us if something’s in your way

If you can’t use part of this site, or you’d like information in a different format, email hello@camcreatives.com. Tell us the page, what happened and, if you like, what assistive technology you use. We’ll aim to reply within 5 working days and put things right as soon as we can.

Events and venues

This page covers the website only. For access details about meetups, exhibitions and workshops, check the event listing or ask us in advance. We’d rather hear early than have you turn up to a step you can’t climb.

For the Art Show at the Grand Arcade, we’ll put access details on the Art Show page. If you’re an artist and anything about taking part gets in the way, such as delivery times, carrying work or hanging it, tell us when you sign up or email hello@camcreatives.com. We’ll find another way.

How we tested

This statement was prepared on 10 Oct 2026. We checked the colour palette and combinations of colours against WCAG 2.2 AA. The site was also tested against WCAG 2.2 AA using the automated tool axe; keyboard-only testing, and screen reader testing were also carried out.

If you’re not happy with our response

As a private organisation, we aren’t covered by the public sector accessibility regulations, but we’d still like you to be satisfied. If we haven’t resolved your issue, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
